Headstart Preschool Staff

Preschool Teacher/ Room Leader: Lesley Ann Crean

Lesley Ann completed a degree in Early Childhood Care and Education from I.T Tralee in 2010. Lesley Ann has been working with the Centre for the past two years on a part time basis and is now employed full time in our Preschool Room. She is responsible for the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of all the children. Lesley Ann plans play and educational programs in conjunction with the High Scope model of curriculum for preschool children. She has completed the High Scope teacher training course.

Preschool Assistant: Marta Nowak

Marta is a qualified Nurse who graduated from Medical school in 2000 and is a mother of a 4year old. Marta works with the Centre on a part time basis. She is responsible for the care, development and holistic needs of our children in Headstart Preschool.

Preschool Teacher/ Room Leader: Aldona Laskowska

Aldonna completed a Master’s degree in Music Education and also a degree in Primary School Teacher Training with Music in Poland. Aldona has spent many years working with children and also spent 7 years working as a Primary School Teacher in Poland. She has a 3 year old daughter.

Aldona has successfully completed the Highscope Teacher Training course

Preschool Teacher: Anna Podruczna

Anna has received a Master’s degree in Education and has also completed the Highscope teacher training course. She has worked with children in the childcare sector in Poland and also in Ireland for the past 4 years. Anna is responsible for the physical, social, emotional and cognitive needs of all the children. Anna plans the play and education programmes in conjunction with the Highscope model of Curriculum.

Preschool Assistant: Kaye O Rahilly

Kaye has studied Fetac Level 5 in Childcare and has worked in the Early childhood Care and Education sector for a number of years.

Kaye is responsible for the care, education and development of all our children in Headstart Preschool.

Child Protection Officer: Clodagh Moynihan

Health and Safety Officers: Clodagh Moynihan and Tania Green

First Aid Officers: Lesley Ann Crean, Marta Nowak and Kaye O Rahilly

All of our staff receives regular training in High Scope, First Aid, Fire Safety, HACCP, Food Safety Procedures and Manual Handling.
